On opening the impressively titled board game it soon became apparent that the game lived up to it's name. The basic object of the game is as the name suggests, to 'save your planet' from imminent destruction (from such environmental 'delights' as nuclear war, global warming and alien invasion!!!). You and your friends (up to 5 players) are bestowed with the honour of representing one of five continents and becoming a 'United Nations special ambassador' with the honour of saving your planet and the whole of civilisation from extinction!!! You have full diplomatic powers and can use whatever resources to complete the U.N. objective and continue our way of life.The game kicks off, when out of the blue, planetary extinction looms and only swift strategic action will avert it. There are two races against time. First you must use your cunning and tactical diplomacy to outwit your opponents, whilst in the meantime, the disaster is following it's own course towards the end of the world.Do you have the strategic skills and determination to save the world? Fly across the world in a specially commandered UN aircraft collecting and using solutions, surpassing other diplomats who may also have their own hidden agendas, while the disaster event moves out of control towards it's own destination - WORLD DESTRUCTION!!!Great.Ages: 8 plus.Contents include: Map of the world, 2 Dice, 5 diplomatic planes, 1 disaster piece and 110 cards of various descript.
